What brought me to MCC?
Though I grew up in the church, I did not meet Jesus until I was 30 years old. After meeting Him, I went to a small country church for 2 years. When we visited MCC on a Sunday evening service, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to John and me. He wanted us to worship with this Body. Shortly thereafter we became regulars here. That was January 1997. We have been greatly blessed to be a part of this Body. We both received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit soon after coming to MCC and have grown in our relationship with our Father since.

Brief description of my office position.
I joined the staff in May 2002. As bookkeeper, I handle many of the financial aspects of our church. I keep the giving records, pay the bills, and prepare the financial reports. Though most people would not find my work very interesting, I truly enjoy it!  It has been a very good fit for my personality and gifts.

Where I grew up?
I grew up 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh, in an area known for its glass factories. In 1982, those factories began to close up along with the steel mills of Pittsburgh. It was at that time that I chose to relocate to Virginia and I am so glad I did. This is a beautiful state and we are so centrally located. Two hours to the beach and two to the mountains, (mountains are my favorite!).

Personal Info:
It was here in Virginia that I met my wonderful husband, John. We were married in 1988. We are best friends, and though I don't know how, we get closer every day! God has chosen to bless us with a silly, little Labrador/Chow mixed up dog named Coal who brings a lot of laughter to our home.
